What’s new on Hyundai’s Geneva Motor Show stand? Reinventing the Trajet by all accounts. Everyone’s doing MPVs now so it’s time to spice up the long toothed Hyundai under the concept codename of HED-5.
Ford Motor Co.'s redesigned 2011 Super Duty pickup will carry a base sticker price higher than its predecessor but will include upgraded content, such as a new six-speed transmission. Ford also will offer its first diesel V8 engine designed in-house. The pickup, which goes on sale this spring, starts at $28,995, according to a dealer and a source familiar with the program.
General Motors' future green-car efforts will focus on plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles rather than conventional hybrid powertrains, product chief Mary Barra said Wednesday. Barra said GM has narrowed its future development emphasis in an effort to defend its leadership position attained with the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid. GM will unveil an electric Spark minicar in late November at the Los Angeles auto show.
